PRESENTATION VIDEOS
Como actividad inicial para los alumnos y primera toma de contacto con sus colegas europeos, hemos realizado un vídeo de presentación de nuestro centro. En este vídeo han participado alumnos de todas las aulas y niveles educativos del centro, desde infantil hasta 6º de primaria. ¡Esperamos que os guste!
As an initial activity for students and first approach to their european colleagues, we've recorded a video introducing our school. To record this video we counted with the participation of students from all the classrooms and grades of our school. We hope you like it!
POSTCARD EXCHANGE
Los alumnos de Turquía y de España han preparado unas postales para desearse unas felices fiestas y año nuevo 2023. Algunos las hicieron en papel y otros en formato digital para intentar mejorar su destreza con las TIC. Aquí tenéis una muestra de su trabajo.
Students from Turkey and Spain have prepared some postcards to wish each other happy holidays and a happy new year 2023. Some of them did them on paper and others on a digital format to try to improve their ability with ICT. Here you have a showcase of their work.
SOLIDARITY MARKET
Después de saber de los dos terribles terremotos acontecidos en Turquía a principios de febrero, decidimos pasar a la acción e intentar ayudar a la población que ha perdido sus casas. Decidimos organizar un mercadillo solidario en el centro CEIP de Pràctiques en el que los alumnos pudiesen contribuir con juguetes y accesorios que ya no utilizasen para venderlos y destinar la recaudación a la organización internacional AFAD. After learning about the terrible earthquakes that affected Turkey at the beginning of February, we decided to take action and try to help the people who have lost their homes to them. We decided to make a charity market in which our students would bring toys and accessories they didn't play with anymore and then sell them to gain money for an international organisation called AFAD. VIDEOCONFERENCE
El pasado jueves 30 de marzo realizamos una videoconferencia con Onur, maestro de la escuela de Turquía, y con sus alumnos.
Previamente, en la asignatura de inglés, elaboramos con nuestros alumnos de 5º una batería de preguntas sobre aspectos de la otra escuela o país que les despertaban la curiosidad y sobre las cuáles querían aprender más, con el objetivo de preguntárselas a sus compañeros turcos. Por fin llegó el esperado día y pudimos comunicarnos con ellos. La conexión no fue demasiado buena pero pudimos charlar un rato y conocernos en directo.
Last Thursday 30th of March we did a videoconference call with Onur, a teacher from the Turkish school, and his students.
Previously, during the English lessons, we prepared with our 5th grade students a list of questions about aspects from the other school or country that they wanted to know about, with the aim of asking them to our Turkish colleagues. Finally the day arrived and we could communicate with them. The connection wasn't as good as we expected but we could talk for a while and meet each other.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Durante el mes de marzo hemos realizado actividades culturales en las que nuestros alumnos han estado aprendiendo y comparando la cultura mallorquina y la turca. Todavía han quedado algunas dudas así que hemos recopilado muchas preguntas que quieren hacerles a sus compañeros turcos aprovechando que nuestros profes van a verles pronto en su primera movilidad educativa.
During the month of March we've been doing some cultural activities in which our students have been learning and comparing the Mallorcan and the Turkish cultures. They still had some doubts around here, so we've made a compilation of questions that they want to ask their Turkish colleagues, taking advantage of the fact that our teachers are going to see them soon in their first mobility.

LEARNING ABOUT THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Debido a nuestra siguiente movilidad docente a República Checa, al colegio de Straz Nad Nisou, realizamos algunas actividades con los alumnos para que estos aprendieran sobre este país.
Los alumnos de 4º de primaria investigaron cuáles eran los monumentos más icónicos y realizaron un mural colaborativo donde incluyeron información e imágenes sobre ellos.
Due to our upcoming mobility to the Czech Republic, in the school of Straz Nad Nisou, we carried out several activities with the students so that they could learn about this country.
The students in 4th grade of Primary researched which were the most iconic buildings and developed a cooperative Padlet in which they included information about them and images.

Además de buscar información sobre sus edificios, también buscamos cuáles eran las fiestas populares que celebraban, y pudimos observar que muchas de ellas eran comunes con nosotros y otras totalmente diferentes. Con toda esta información, realizamos un calendario en el que aparecen las fiestas y celebraciones de ambos países.
Besides looking for information about its buildings, we also researched which were the national holidays and festivities they celebrated, and we learnt that many of them were common in our country and some of them were completely different. With all this information, we created a calendar in which appear the festivities and celebrations of both countries.

Los alumnos de 2º de primaria ayudaron a los maestros que se iban de movilidad educativa realizando un gráfico estadístico con las temperaturas de Praga para saber qué ropa debían poner en la maleta 😜. Además, buscaron y aprendieron algunas palabras en checo.
The students of 2nd grade of Primary helped the teachers that were participating in the mobility by doing a statistic graph of the temperatures and weather in Prague in order to know what they should be putting in their suitcases. Besides, they learnt new words in Czech. ​

VISIT FROM POLAND
El pasado mes de marzo recibimos la visita de dos maestras procedentes de Polonia quienes realizaron una visita preparatoria a nuestro centro, puesto que en el próximo mes de octubre seremos centro de acogida para 6 alumnos de 6º de primaria que estarán durante una semana asistiendo a clases con nuestro alumnado de la misma edad. Durante esta visita, pudieron observar qué metodologías se utilizan ya que estuvieron presentes en diferentes sesiones de matemáticas, cocina, música y huerto escolar. También realizaron una excursión a la costa con los alumnos de 3º y 4º y hablaron a los alumnos de los platos más populares de Polonia.
Last March we received a visit from two teachers from Poland who made a preparatory visit to our school, since next October we will be a hosting organisation for some 6th grade students who will be attending classes for a week with our students of the same age. During this visit, they were able to observe what methodologies were used since they were present in different lessons of mathematics, cooking, music and school garden. They also went on an excursion to the coast with the 3rd and 4th grade students and talked to the students about the most popular dishes in Poland. ​

LEARNING ABOUT PORTUGAL
Los alumnos de nuestro centro han estado aprendiendo sobre Portugal, el siguiente país donde realizaríamos nuestra tercera movilidad educativa. Han cantado canciones típicas portuguesas, han aprendido la leyenda del gallo de Barcelos, y también han buscado información sobre Braga, la ciudad donde se encuentra la escuela que visitaremos: André Soares.
The students at our school have been learning about Portugal, the next country where we will carry out our third educational mobility. They have sung typical Portuguese songs, they have learned the legend of the Barcelos rooster, and they have also searched for information about Braga, the city where the school we will visit is located: André Soares.​
